2025: Dutch landfilling asbestos no longer needed

Millions of tons of asbestos cement are still in our living environment, untill they are dumped in landfill. They continue to pose a risk to public health and the environment. Most of these are roof plates and tubes, that consist of 90% cement. A material that should not be wasted because of its high CO₂ footprint and the increasing shortage of raw materials. Asbeter will make timely use of Dutch policy to apply for a dumping ban for the safe and affordable processing of substances of concern.
