And the first Sustainability Shout Out goes to....

On Wednesday 28 June, the DCMR Children's Council announced the winner of the very first sustainability shout-out award to a loud drum roll from a curious room full of invitees. Of the three nominated companies, the three enthusiastic representatives of Asbeter were presented with the prize, after which children drank champagne and ate cake.

What an achievement we think this is! And by that we do not directly mean our company, but especially the expertise and involvement of these eighth graders who have been trained for a year in the aspects of sustainability and who have drawn up checklists to assess which company from the Rotterdam region should receive the first Sustainability shout out in application would come. In a wonderful jury report, the Children's Council particularly appreciated the major contribution that Asbeter makes to the circular economy and the (literal) solution to the asbestos problem. Tribute to these young people, who perhaps understand the social importance of Asbeter even better than administrators and 'impact' investors.
